Being part of this beautiful stop motion Christmas special for Hallmark was truly a treat. Written and produced completely in-house at Bent Image Lab, I performed several key roles in the production of Jingle, but the task that was truly most rewarding was heading up the shooting and editing for the Behind the Scenes doc that was always part of the vision for the executive producers and crew. On a shoe-string budget, the BTS effort required enormous improvisation and problem-solving on my part, including composing nearly all of the original music myself.

This hilarious farce of a behind the scenes documentary was produced in-house at Bent Image Lab and only for Bent Image Lab, so enormous creative and comedic liberties were taken by all parties involved, myself included.

David Blankenship-In Memoriam
Credit: Archivist, Editor, Colorist
In 2012, when my uncle, Nashville Fire Chief David Blankenship, passed away suddenly from an extremely aggressive cancer, my only means of processing this loss was through unarchiving and transferring hours of home video footage from my family’s accumulated collection. I put together this montage to be shown during services after his passing. The entire edit is set to a VHS recording of David performing George Jones’, I’m always Lucky With You, recorded in 1988 by his father (my grandfather), Paul G. Blankenship in their Nashville, TN home.
